Ukraine approves memorandum on liquefied gas supply
The Government of Ukraine approved a memorandum on the supply of liquefied gas by the American company Louisville Natural Gas Exports, said Acting Minister of Energy and Environmental Protection of Ukraine Olga Buslavets, reported on May 27 news agency UNIAN. The Ministry of Energy has worked out a draft memorandum of cooperation between Louisville Natural Gas Exports and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on assistance in the supply of gas to Ukraine and the improvement of gas infrastructure, she said. In March 2020, former Minister of Energy and Environmental Protection Alexey Orgel said that Ukraine intends to conclude a long-term contract for the supply of natural gas from the United States through Poland. According to the news agency, Hungary previously headed the list of natural gas suppliers to Ukraine. Previously, a virtual reverse of Russian gas went through Slovakia.
