In South Korea in June recorded an increase in the business activity index

In the second quarter of 2020, the expected business activity index (BSI) in South Korea will be 80.6 points. It is reported by KBS with reference to representatives of the research institute Korea Economic Research Institute. According to published data, this is the lowest rate since 1980. Compared to the same period last year, it will decrease by 17 points. It is known that when compiling the index, the opinion of representatives of more than 350 companies throughout the country was taken into account. Representatives of the research institute note that the decrease in the indicator is associated with the epidemic of coronavirus, which led to a deterioration in business conditions, a reduction in jobs. In June, the index of business activity amounted to 74.2 points, which is 3.6 points more than in June last year. The index of business activity is an indicator assessing producer sentiment. An indicator of more than 100 points means that most manufacturers are looking positively in the near future, below one hundred negatively.
