AEOI: no victims found in the incident in Iranian Natanz

On July 2, the spokesman for the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Behrouz Kamalvandi said that no casualties were found in the Shahid Ahmadi Rowshan Natanz complex as a result of the incident in the morning, while the enrichment process continues away from the scene of the incident. This was reported by the Iranian agency IRNA on July 3. He further noted that on July 2, an incident occurred in Natanz, as a result of which material damage was caused, however, there were no casualties. There was no nuclear material and pollution at the site, contrary to the propaganda and rumors of the counter-revolutionary media, Kamalvandi noted. Stressing that the mining of enrichment materials at this facility continues non-stop, he said that specialists are conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the accident and the amount of damage. We have begun enrichment since Iran's transition to reduction of obligations, and at present we have no obligations in terms of both level and volume of enrichment, so we produce over 3.67 percent and over 300 kilograms of nuclear material, the representative of AEOI noted.
