One new import case has been identified in Shanghai COVID-19


In Shanghai, over the past day, one new import case of COVID-19 was revealed, Xinhua News Agency reported on September 1. At the same time, not a single new local case of a dangerous infection in the city was revealed. A Chinese citizen turned out to be sick, who left the United States on August 30 and arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport the next day. The arrival was immediately quarantined, after which he soon showed symptoms of the disease. As a result, he was placed for treatment in one of the hospitals in the city. A total of 48 people in close contact with the patient were also placed under medical supervision. In total, 562 imported and 342 local cases of COVID-19 disease have been detected in Shanghai since the beginning of the epidemic.
