Kiev announced a recipe for restoring stability in Belarus


Ukraine voiced its vision of restoring stability in Belarus, although it emphasizes that it has never interfered and will not interfere in the internal affairs of a neighboring country. This was stated during a speech to the UN Security Council by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmitry Kuleba, quoted on September 5 by the press service of the department. The release of all detainees can start a dialogue between the authorities and civil society, initiate the search for compromises. The next step could be the announcement of new elections, which should be held in a democratic manner and with the unhindered participation of international observers, Kuleba said. He also said that Ukraine welcomes the OSCE statement on the visit of the leaders of this organization to Belarus to meet with representatives of the authorities and the opposition and promote dialogue. Also during his speech, the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry expressed the hope that the Russian Federation would refrain from any actions regarding Belarus, including a military invasion, which could further destabilize the situation. The news agency recalls that on September 3, the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Foreign Policy approved the draft statement of the Parliament of Ukraine regarding the elections in Belarus for consideration. It is noted that of all the proposed, the most moderate option was chosen, in which the deputies of the Rada will confirm that they are ready to impose sanctions against Belarusian high-ranking executioners.
